The Business X-Ray: a sample report

What an owner receives at the end of an X-Ray: a two-page brief, a 12-month plan to print and tick off, and a report and interactive dashboard from each executive who reviewed the business.

About this sample

A real X-Ray of a single-location nail salon, built from the owner's own sales, booking and accounting data. The business is renamed Aurelia Nail & Spa; the figures are not changed. It shows three of the seven executives (Marketing, Finance and Operations). A full X-Ray adds Technology, Competitive, People and Legal.

The verdict at a glance

A good shop that forgets its customers after the first visit.

The work is good, the ticket is healthy and the business is profitable. But seven in ten customers never return, the schedule ignores when people actually come in, and there is only five weeks of cash in the bank. All three are fixable this quarter for $29 a month.

Each dashboard has one tab per question the executive asked of the business ("Who comes back?", "Where does the money go?"), with calculators the owner can use to try their own numbers. Page 1 of each report is a one-page summary of the findings.

How it's made

  1. 1

    Each executive works alone

Each executive (an AI agent) studies its own area of the business using the owner's own data, and writes its findings as plain content: grade, key numbers, the questions it answered, the plan and the risks. It makes no layout choices.

  2. 2

    The committee argues it out

The executives debate the tensions between their plans, and a final review writes the whole-business verdict and the combined 12-month plan.

  3. 3

    One build makes every file

One build turns that content into every file above, all in the same house style. Nothing is formatted by hand. The content behind this sample: engagement · marketing · finance · operations.
